I just added a little sidebar on the screenshot viewing page:

Sidebar

It allows you to see the number of views a screenshot has and when it was uploaded. You can also easily share to social networks or report the screenshots to a moderator if you think it violates the terms of service.

More site updates coming soon! :)

A user requested the ability to save screenshots directly to the clipboard. This is useful when editing screenshots or when you want to paste a screenshot into a document. It seemed like a fun and easy thing to do with the new plugin functionality so I went ahead and did it! :)
Here’s what it looks like when saving a screenshot:

You can find this and other plugins from the preferences menu by clicking Uploading and More Services…

A new version of ScreenCloud is avilable. The changelog is as follows:

* Added plugin support (Windows & Linux only)
* Updated icons to match new website design
* Added option to reset hotkeys to default

This update also adds plugin support. This means that you can install plugins for other image hosting services and upload to them using ScreenCloud. Theres is only 3 plugins available so far (for Dropbox, Imgur and Ubuntu One), but new plugins can be created without even updating the application!

Installing plugins is easy. Once you have updated to the new version, simply navigate to the preferences menu, select Uploaders and click the More Services button:

In addition, the website has been completely redesigned by the guys from Big Name. It looks a lot better and is nicer to use!

New design!

Packages for Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora and Arch Linux have been added to the linux download page. I have not set up any repositories yet, so you will have to update manually if you use them.

The deb and rpm packages may work on other distributions but they have only been tested on the listed distributions. Feel free to try them out and report back! :)
